Animorphs

"Bad dream.." I said quietly, he'd probably laugh. I shrugged acting like it was no big deal. Of course, anyone who knew me well enough would know. I turned away from the breeze, that didn't help, it just blew my hair around my face and made a mess of it. I murmured something illegible under my breath and scowled slightly. The dreams till hung over my clinging to every part of me like a cold. I frowned a little and tried to forget it.

I narrowed my eyes and set my jaw, continuing to stare at Skye. "About what?" I inquired, digging deeper into the subject on purpose. I tucked my hands into my pockets and sighed very quietly as I waited for her to answer.

"The people at the lab." I said again quietly still staring at the ground. I kept rubbing at my arms carefully to keep them warm, because the breeze was picking up and it was chilly. Why did he keep asking questions? Tony never inquired this far.. Or did he?

[We're both making pretty short posts. But when it is a convorsation.. There really isn't much you can do. XD]

I snorted loudly and obnoxiously. "That narrows it down to about... Every possible nightmare." I sarcastically said, not being hurtful.. Just honest. "Continue.." I added, leaning my back up against a thin tree.

"The lab we were in, the two men from there, they turned me into an animal forever..." I can see how that might sound extremely stupid said out loud, but to me it was something very scary, the lab was all I had ever known, now we were out of the lab and had our families and I was terrified of going back, imagine what that would do to my mother.. She adored me. I shuddered lightly again and bit my lip out of habit.

I bit my bottom lip, just trying to imagine that inside my head... Honestly, I didn't think it sounded silly at all. I had gotten those dreams when we first escaped as well.
"Try not to worry about it. It's been seven years and we haven't even ever encountered them... What are the chances that they'll find us now?" I stood up straight, then rubbed her shoulder comfortingly. "How about we go home for the night? Probably lots of school to catch up on..." I suggested, thinking maybe it would be best if she didn't even have morphing in her mind. I know that after the dreams I had, I didn't morph for a month.

I nodded and smiled lightly at him. "Thanks for not thinking there were... you know.. stupidd.." I whispered quietly and stuffed my hands into my pockets. "Dang, I left everything at school..." I said under my breath in annoyance. "Any chance they left a window open or something? Or do they have alarms and security cameras?" I asked him, if anyone, he was the one to ask. I laughed very gently and waited. (BRB showerrrrrrr)

I placed my hands back into my warm pockets and thought about it for a minute. "They probably are cleaning up still... I'm sure the janitor will let us in." I said. "Otherwise, try the biggest window on the east side of the building... The alarm is broken." I smirked. Surely I wasn't the one who broke it..........

Ok, I was. But that was beside the point. My mind then bean wandering about the possibilities... Seven years is a long time. What if they waited and waited until they had just the right technology so that they might better find us? What if they were back at our homes... Holding our families hostage until we do what they wanted? What if they would kill our families anyway?! My eyes burst open wide, and I glanced all around us. I wasn't really sure what I was looking for.... It wasn't like I could see into my house form there.
Ah.. I thought. I probably was worrying about nothing.

I rolled my eyes, well, I had been right, he did know. "By any chance you weren't the one who broke it were you?" I asked lightly with a smirk on my face as I looked at him. Noticing him looking around nervously and his eyes go wide. "You OK?" I asked him automatically stepping closer to him just in case and also looking around nervously also. (oooh xD0

[*screams* The word Bulge scares me!!! DX]


"Uhh.." I staggered, looking back at Skye. "No.. No. I'm alright." I said, then glanced back down the path that we had followed on into the woods. "Let's go.." I said and began walking. After a few steps, I stopped and glanced back behind me to make sure that she was following.

I nodded and followed him silently, not really knowing what to do now.. Eh, I'd wait till tomorrow to get my stuff. I looked around, the sun was slowly fading and darkness was engulfing the woods around us, well, we'd been here a while hadn't we? I quickened my pace so that I was walking beside him and stared at the ground as I walked.

I glanced at Skye as I continued to walk, burying my chin a little deeper in the neck of my Jacket. "We still headed to the school? Because if we are.. A nice, thick fur coat would be wonderful for the walk." I suggested, a very small smirk coming across my face. It was getting chilly.. And what was warmer than an authentic, thick, warm fur coat?

I heard his question, then decided, might as well go get the stuff now. I nodded. Immediately morphing into a wolf, my fur was a snow white with tints of auburn here and there, my eyes were different colors, one was a crystal color, and the other was green. I shook my fur happily. Letting out a small doggy yawn. Then I kept padding forward waiting for Tony to morph and catch up to me. I could see, smell, and hear much better like this, it was perfect. I was bored and began to slightly try to hum a song that I had just recently heard, it was called The Penguin Song, by Jilian Linkater. I loved that song, it was awesome. I thought of my favorite verse.

And I'll sign it with a heart or maybe two
An X an O a way to show
how much that I have really missed you
And I'll draw a picture with my box of crayons
A giant wave of water with two penguins holding hands
And at the bottom in too small of print to read

I smiled as much as a wolf could smile and looked around scanning the area for anything that might be interesting, or threatening.

(I think my dads gonna use the phone soon, so BRB ahead of time xD just incase I leave without saying bye/BRB.. )

I watched Skye morph with fascination, and glanced around the woods once more. The now-darkened area was seemingly clear of anyone. So, I thought of a wolf.. And changed into one.
Dark fur swept down along my back, and right down my tail. A mahogany color consumed my mane.. My paws were a lighter tan color, and the rest of my body was a moderate beige.
'Let's hustle..' I suggested unsurely as I trotted to catch up with Skye. I had a bad feeling about tonight.. And I wasn't sure why.

I nodded and continued on at a rhythmic pace. I looked around now and then to make sure nothing was wrong, and so on. I let a small yawn escape my muzzle, and I sighed. I glanced at Tony and smiled a doggy smile, my tongue flopping out of my mouth. I let out a tiny howl of laughter and shook my fur again as I kept walking.

I padded along the loose dirt and leaves, right along side of Skye. My ears pulled back softly against the back of my neck, allowing me to move more swiftly.
The soft, repetitive thuds of my paws on the ground became more blunt, and silent as we moved onto the cement sidewalk. The school was now just across the street... The lights were on, which was actually a very good sign.
'Looks like someone is there,' I said, keeping my gaze set forward at the dimly-lit building.

I nodded at his words. -Mhm- I said and shifted my weight as I stopped. -Whats the plan?-

I stopped as well, just beside Skye. 'Well I don't think that they'll let Wolves come and take a pair of backpacks.' I murred with a grin. I then morphed back into a human, stretching my arms out. It was always awkward when I changed shape. "Try to look normal.. The last thing we want is people being suspicious of us." I stated as I combed through my hair with my fingers.

I nodded morphing also when he did. I stretched my limbs and tried to make my hair go back the way it had been before I had morphed. I audjusted my clothing then nodded. "Well.... Let's go."I said shrugging and smiling lightly as I walked forward (shortness D=)

I began walking just as Skye did, and stuffed my hands right back into my pockets once I had finished making my hair look relatively 'normal'. "I just hope we don't see that catcher gain," I joked with a laugh as we approached the School. I opened the door for her, and absently glanced inside the building. My eyes widened, and my mouth snapped shut... The catcher was the least of our worries. At the end of the hallways, past all the lockers.. There were two of the men who had captured us so long ago. And behind them? A trio of raptors. Yes... The dinosaurs.
"Hello.." One of the men cracked a grin.

I was smiling a little as we were approaching the building and were about to enter. Then my smile faded and my face turned blank and pale. I just stared in astonishment, then fear. Then I whirled around and jumped down the stairs morphing as I jumped I landed on all fours. "RUN!" I yelled behind me to Tony. My paws pounding on the pavement. I wasn't going to wait around for those men to capture us. But I would go back if anything happened to Tony.

My face became gravely pale as I stared at the five in complete amazement, and fear. As soon as Skye screamed 'RUN!', I set off as well. I dove off the stairs as if I were about to land in a pool, but morphed into a cheetah halfway down. I landed on my front paws on the cement, then kicked myself into long strides as my back paws hit as well. I kicked myself faster and faster, catching up to Skye. I was absolutely lost for words... Seven years.. Seven years and they found us.
I glanced back behind me to see the three raptors chasing after us, teeth bared. Their shriveled arms curled up in front of their chests, and their eyes were as red as blood. -There's no use running!- They're wicked voices called.. And I could hear them just as I could Skye. Were they humans, too?
The scientists were nowhere to be seen, but surely they weren't far behind.

(So fricken tired I'm not even gonna TRY to reply... xD)
